Education/qualifications: I am an enthusiastic occupational therapy student, going into my third year next year. I have worked at a pharmacy for 4 years now and from this I have always enjoyed assisting and communicating with individuals of all ages. I am a therapy assistant and I have been a support worker for about 4 months now in which has made me feel rewarded, ensuring everyone has a sense of belonging and I can support individuals needs and interests.

Hobbies/interests: I am highly passionate about art, specifically oil painting of birds, the ocean, trees etc. This is a type of meditation for me and I love being creative and expressing my talent. I have a love for the ocean and surfing, it makes me feel calm and collected. I enjoy camping and hiking. Most weekends I try to get away and explore new places. I love cooking and creating my own dishes. I love socialising, being around friends and family, I think that is so important.

Tell us about yourself? Including what you like about being a support worker

I am a very supportive, empathetic person with a kind nature. I have always loved assisting individuals and helping them gain the skills to ensure they reach their full potential, hence why I have chosen to pursue occupational therapy. I love knowing that individuals can be involved in everyday activities with our support and participate in things they want and need to do.
